A new school year and an invitation

Below is an email from Fr. Ed Riley of the Archdiocese of Boston.  You will notice that it includes a web address for Boston Homeschoolers and an invitation to a Mass which will be said on First Friday for the start of the school.  The celebrant will be Cardinal O’Malley.

Greetings all!

I am excited to invite you to a first Opening Mass for the Home Schooling year with Cardinal Sean O’Malley. (I apologize for such short notice as Cardinal Sean had agreed to celebrate the Mass much earlier in the summer.)

It will take place on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 2:00pm at Our Lady Help of Christians, 573 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02458. We will begin at 12:00pm with BYOLunch and some activities (to prepare for Mass). We hope to have a number of the children to be in a little choir. Please invite as many families as you know, and kindly RSVP to Dalila at: siempretenfe@gmail.com so we can plan accordingly. If you have any ideas please contact me, Dalila Patrizzi or Liz Tighe at etighe238@comcast.net.

You may find more information at: www.bostoncatholichomeschoolers.org, a website I just began for to help promote the numerous home schooling collaboratives and to connect the many families that are looking for other families in their community. (If you do ‘sign up’ on the website, your contact information will be used only by me.)

Thank you all & may the LORD and Our LADY continue to bless you and increase the joy of these final days of summer!

God bless,

Fr. Ed
